Tour Areas: Dates and Destinations

Valtellina Moto Touring operates tours from April through October.

TOSCANA
Our tour season opens in the north-central regions of Italy, of which Tuscany is perhaps the best known. Our TOSCANA tours operate from April through June, with two separate 6-day itineraries offered (A Tour and B Tour). During this time we also visit Emilia-Romagna, Umbria and the Marches. Guests are encouraged to stay for both tours, or a total of 12 touring days. We return to this region again for the month of October and end our season where it began: in the rolling hills and vineyards of Tuscany.

ALPINO
As the summer weather sets in on the Italian peninsula, our tours move northward to take advantage of the seasonable temperatures in the Alps. Our ALPINO tours encompass the alpine regions of Italy and may also include brief incursions into France, Switzerland and Austria. For non-riding guests, day trips to Liechtenstein, Bormio, Livigno and other areas of interest are arranged. Here again we operate two motorcycle itineraries: the A Tour visits Lombardy, Piedmont and the French-speaking area of Val d'Aosta, including Mont Blanc and Chamonix. The B Tour visits Lombardy, Friuli, Veneto and the German-speaking region of Trentino-Alto Adige (Südtirol), passing through the breathtaking Dolomites.
